Nominator's project description
| Professor Xie is an internationally leading expert in (metal) boron cluster chemistry. He developed synthetic strategies for the selective generation of larger cages with 15 and 16 vertexes, towards polyfunctional cluster and their application in the activation of small molecules e.g CO. In Germany, he will intensify his research program on carbaborane stabilized hypovalent boron species and their higher homologues. |
